Skincare is often divided along gender lines. "For men" or “for women” suggests fundamentally different needs. But biologically, does skin recognise gender categories?

The differences that do exist are real. But they are functional.



Structural Differences: Thickness, Oil and Density

On average, male skin is thicker, with higher collagen density and larger sebaceous glands. This results in:
